One Million More

I ask for one more night.
For I don’t know if I can be without you
Then I cross my heart and hope I die.
Not tonight though, tomorrow I may die.

Yet you don’t resist, accepting with no rules.
Like you forgot you had asked to leave, for good, that is.
You hold me close and make me wish I die here and now.
Not tonight though, tomorrow maybe.

Sun shines through the window, a new day announcing.
You are still by my side am not dead and I miss you already.
I had my wish and have to let you go, but I can't.
Give me tonight, tomorrow you may go.

It happened again today, just like yesterday
And the day before that, and the other one too
I asked for one more and when it was over, another.
Give me a million more; I don’t want you to go.
